first sucker

Aubree found a sucker in our nightstand drawer this afternoon. The way those big blue eyes looked up at me  asking "Please can i try it mom" well....I just couldn't resist.

 "Here mom, try this"

 She has that look in her eye like "Mom, whatever you're thinking-don't.  It's ok that i have a sucker"

I can just hear her making her "Mmmm" sound 

Yes, I LOVE that dimple of hers.

And those big blue eyes!

She was so happy to have a first taste. No, she didn't eat the whole thing. In fact, she found the sucker right as I was coming to pick her up to put her in her bed for a nap. She had a few licks and is now currently napping away in her crib. Dreaming of lollipops and more sugar I'm sure. Great...what have I started :)

11 Months

Just a week or so behind, but here is a glimpse of our sweet 11 month old Aubree:

(It's like she knows i am taking pictures and so she wont smile. She pulls faces though. Silly silly silly girl)

(And this is the baby she LOVES to cuddle and hold..it is seriously the sweetest thing to see her do that)

Oh and....

I had a birthday a few weeks ago and it was a GREAT one!

Eric sssssppppoiled me! (New nike shirt, under armor hoodie, AND-a new tennis raquet! I'm SOOO excited to use it this summer) I felt so loved! Thanks to all my wonderful friends and family for making it such a wonderful day and for the kind words in your cards/letters/texts!! I love you all!

( I have wanted new couch pillows for a while and so eric went and bought some and had them laying out. His favorite is the middle one i am holding...probably not going to happen :)

And-Eric made me a cake! Yes, Eric-the man who dislikes baking! Chocolate cake with a whipped cream center with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. I surely enjoyed it :) (as did everyone we shared it with..no i didn't eat the whole thing...i could have though!!)

Life is great here in Alaska. Eric's traveling should slow down a bit-which i am happy about-i love having him home! Aubree and I are enjoying playing with each other every day. (I have the best job)

It is getting warmer (ish) and we are hoping for a nice summer! Eric is excited to go hunting (bear hunting at that...crazy boy) and i am excited to be outside without a coat! 

10 months

Aubree is 10 months (and 10 days) old! Please time-sssllllooooowwwww down!! She is growing up too fast! I absolutely love watching her grow/develop/learn. It is so much fun to watch her gain new skills. Seriously, she is sooo much fun. I absolutely love spending every day with her! 

 (she went through a phase where all she would do was make this face. No smiles-no laughing-nothing.  No matter what we would do (tickle etc...) she would keep this "smirk" face on. silly girl)

 (I have been taking monthly pictures of her in a laundry basket since she was born but now it is a bit trickier because she sits herself up)

She is always moving!  It is tough to get a picture without a little blur somewhere in it. Just look at the cute face and ignore the blurry hand :)

catching up

We got a little behind on our monthly updates of Aubree so it is time to play catch up.  Here we go:

Alright, now we are up to date. Our little girl is already 9 months old.  She has been out as long as she was in me! That is soooo crazy.  At the end of her doctor appointment the doctor said, "alright-we will see you at her one year appointment."  It shocked me to hear that! She is growing up soooo fast! We are sure loving every second of our time with her.  She is so much fun. Eric loves that she plays back with him now.  He is such a good dad...and Aubree is such a good little girl.  How did i get so lucky :)

One of her favorite things to do now is open her mouth as big as she can and then give you a HUGE smile. (as you can see above)

Happy 9 months little girl.  We sure do love you lots!

aubree's first christmas

We were so excited to be able to visit our families over the christmas break.  It was so fun to see everyone again! We had so much fun and were spoiled beyond belief :) Thank you to our wonderful parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and all our friends.  We had a WONDERFUL trip! Pictures are always better than words...here ya go:

 So excited to use this backpack this summer!

 And of course she LOVED the paper more than anything!

This last picture is from today. We are finally getting some snow instead of rain! We bundled little aubree up and took her outside.  She wasn't so sure of that snowsuit but it was fun to play in the snow with her for a little while!
